Inspiration and Etc.: I saw AIR in 2005 just after it finished airing in Japan. I was a little slow getting into it, but I was hooked so quickly. Misuzu reminded me of my more eccentric side, haha, and I just loved how the story was presented and woven together. How crazy that it was started from a hentai game! O_O But I had wanted to be Misuzu since I first watched it, so after having Van watch it I had a Yukito-partner and we began to seriously plan it for AX in '06. Now that the costumes are done, I so intend to cosplay the rest of the girls and do more Misuzu cosplay with that wig!
Construction / Costume Notes: The dress, shirt, and bow are all casa crepe. I'm somewhat obsessed with that fabric. x_X But the "butter" casa crepe was that perfect light, airy yellow color that I searched long and hard to find. XD The red for the bow is actually left over from my Real Bout Mai. ^^; All the lines on the outfit are marvelous bias tape. Oh yes. I used a dress pattern that I altered a bit, using two different designs from the pattern itself and then shortening the skirt and changing the back. The straps were completely my own, since they had to cross in back and be way longer than the pattern called for. I still have to add the giant bow in back (I was kinda afraid my wig would get tangled in it, but now I think I can do it) and I might change the top a bit, but otherwise I really love my black dress. The yellow shirt was originally started with this dress shirt pattern, but I totally threw out their tiny poofy sleeves and used my own pattern for larger ones, heehee, and had to change their collar a lot to make it look more like Misuzu's. @_@ This costume was the first time I put in a zipper all by myself. XD; Ah, the socks are from Target, haha, and the hairbow was ribbon from Wal-Mart that had this wire in it. I decided on that specifically because I wanted to be able to shape the bow, since she has such a big poofy one in her hair. I bought the wig from CosWorx.com; it's SUCH a perfect, gorgeous blonde color. It's styled half-up instead of in an actual ponytail; mostly so I could keep the fullness and length of my long wig, and also because I didn't want to deal with sewing in wefts and stuff to make a real ponytail. *cough*

Character Background: A young girl with visions of her other self in the sky, Misuzu Kamio is quickly drawn to a mysterious traveler that arrives in her little seaside town. She is cheerful, impulsive, and a little bit of a clutz, but maintains a strong sense about her that attracts this traveler, Yukito, to her as well.
